This project involved designing the interiors of an ultra luxurious Spa and Wellness Suite within the Corinthia Meydan Beach Hotel in Dubai. The intention was to create a fluid and organic design that made every single space welcoming with a succession of iconic and evocative views. The aesthetic value has been designed to offer a deep spiritual pleasure that is in addition to the physical and sensorial well-being, ensuring a unique experience.
The use of precious but natural materials ensured that every space was welcoming; furthermore, special attention has been paid to the most intimate areas, such as the treatment rooms.
Women and men have separate floors, each with their own treatment cabins, hammams and elegant lounge areas dedicated to pre- and post-treatment relaxation. On the top level, there is an Active floor for fitness activities, such as gym, yoga and a Pilates studio with changing rooms and service areas. Each changing room is welcoming and full of comfort and offers spaces for wellness such as a steam bath cabins and a sauna. On the middle floor, next to the main path leading from the Lobby to the cafeteria and the spa areas, there are areas for physiotherapy treatments and medical consultations where each client will be helped by specialists to outline the most appropriate path to follow. On the same level, there is also an exclusive VIP suite.
The culmination of the experience is within the Heat Experience area, where sinuous forms accompany lively sensory experiences, sometimes unique and contrasting, making the thermal area also a path of discovery between volumes of material sculpted as elements of a hyper-contemporary design.
Throughout the space, the precious hardness of marble and the sculptural volumes in wood define functions and shapes as elements of strength, allowing gentle paths to flow through them in which one can surrender to the fullness of the senses.
